Time: The World Championship will run from 30 May to 1 June 2025.

Program of the championship:
30/05/2025: arrival of teams, hotel check-ins, registration, accreditation, weighing and medical
check, draw ceremony, referee meeting and seminar – «Kircilar Termal Otel»
31/05/2025: competitions in the disciplines of “Self-defense” in the all weight categories, award
ceremony; start up in the all weight categories in the discipline “Fight”, quarter fights:
01/06/2025: start up in the Absolute weight categories in the discipline “Fight”, semi-final, gala
opening, final fights in the discipline “Fight”, award ceremony, referee and representatives
meeting.
02/06/2025: departures - ORGANIZATION AND RUNNING
Organizations in charge of preparation, arrangement and running of the World Championship:
- Hand-to-hand fighting Sport International Federation (HSIF);
- National Hand-to-hand fighting federation of Turkey:
- Bursa City Administration.
- ELIDGIBLE ATHLETES
All participators should have permission from their National federation. Eligible members of
the team: representatives – 2, trainers – 4, athletes – 29, one athlete for each weight class for
every National Team. Each team should bring not less 2 referees.
Required equipment for participants must have HSIF logo: kimono white and khaki color,
gloves, helmet, leg protect – black color.
Eligible participants for the discipline “Fight”, 14 athletes: are men and women no younger
than 18 years.
The World Championship is held in the following weight categories:
Men: weight classes (kg) up to 57, 62, 67, 73, 80, 88, 97, 97+, LA (up to 73) HA (over 73);
Women: weight classes (kg) up to 48, 53, 58, 64, 70, 70+, HA (over 58).
Athletes who did not make it to the finals of their categories can participate in the Absolute
weight categories (LA, HA men and HA women).
Eligible participants for the discipline “Self-defense”, 15 athletes: are men and women not
younger than 18 years.
Competition is held in the following age and weight categories:
Age category 18-37: men – 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg, +90 kg; women – 50 kg, 70 kg, +70 kg.
Age category 38-49: men – 75 kg, 95 kg, +95 kg; women – 60 kg, +60 kg.
Age category 50-60: men – 85 kg, +85 kg.
Age category older 60: men – no weight.
For the discipline “Self-defense 1+1”: two participants with no consideration for age and weight
categories, from among the participants in the individual competition. Separate competition for
men and women pairs.
The host country (Turkey) is allowed to participate in the World Championship, in all
disciplines with second team. - REFEREES
Referees for the World Championship are recruited by Special Invitation. The list of invitees
shall be agreed upon with the referee committee of HSIF. E-mail: h2hfight@mail.ru
Referee remuneration and accommodation/catering costs will be paid by the Organizers. - GOVERNING RULES, HOSTING, COST COVERAGE
Competition Rules:
The World Championship shall be run in accordance with the Rules for International
Competitions as approved by the Hand-to-Hand Fighting Sport International Federation (HSIF)
www.hsif.world. Olympic Drop Out System shall apply.
There shall be two “Third Place” awards in all disciplines.
Costs for receiving foreign sport delegations (catering, accommodation) are carried by the
Sending Nation. Travel costs to Bursa, Turkey (return) for foreign sport delegations are born by
the Sending Nation.
Application payment is 50$ US from each athlete, in each Discipline.
7.AWARDS
Champions in each weight category are awarded with the Champion belts, medals and
diplomas of the 1st degree; prize-winners are awarded with medals and diplomas of
corresponding degrees; champion’s coaches are awarded with diplomas.
8.INVITATION, APPLICATION, CONTACTS
This Guiding Provisions document shall serve as the Official Invitation to the World
Championship 2025. Applications to participate stating number of athletes, representatives,
coaches and referees for each team should be sent to the Organizers Committee in advance of the
Event and should reach the Committee no later than 19 May 2025.

Athletes shall not be accepted for competition without prior application.
Delegations arriving by Invitation shall submit the following documents to the Acceptance
Commission via their Representative: Identification Documents for the Athletes, Originals of
their Accident, Life and Health Insurance Policies, State Flag of their Country and the sound
track of the National Anthem (CD).
