for the World Championship in Universal Fight
September 25–30, 2025
Uzbekistan, Khorezm Region, Urgench
Sports Complex “Yoshlik”**

1. Goals and Objectives

further popularization of Universal Fight and expansion of the geography of participating countries;
strengthening international sports cooperation and exchange of experience between national federations;
determining the strongest athletes in the world in Universal Fight.

2. Dates and Venue

The competition will take place from September 25 to September 30, 2025.
Venue: Uzbekistan, Khorezm Region, Urgench, Sports Complex “Yoshlik”.

Competition Program

September 25

09:00 – arrival of teams, accommodation;
11:00–19:00 – registration commission, weigh-in, drawing of lots (light, classic divisions);
19:00–20:00 – joint meeting of the Organizing Committee, referee panel, and team representatives.

September 26 — LIGHT Division

09:00–13:00 – preliminary bouts (all age groups);
13:00–14:00 – lunch break;
14:15–15:30 – continuation of bouts;
16:00–17:00 – official opening ceremony;
17:00–19:00 – continuation of bouts up to the finals.

September 27 — LIGHT Division (Finals)

09:00–13:00 – final bouts, awarding of winners and medalists;
13:00–14:00 – lunch break;
16:00–17:00 – additional weigh-in for CLASSIC division;
18:30 – FIAU Congress.

September 28 — CLASSIC Division

09:00–13:00 – preliminary bouts;
13:00–14:00 – lunch break;
14:30–19:00 – continuation of bouts up to the semifinals.

September 29 — CLASSIC Division (Semifinals)

09:00–13:00 – semifinal bouts;
13:00–14:00 – lunch break;
14:15–20:00 – continuation of semifinal bouts up to the finals.

September 30 — CLASSIC Division (Finals)

10:00–14:00 – final bouts, awarding ceremony, official closing;
departure of participants.

3. Management of the Championship

General management is carried out by the Organizing Committee.
Direct management is conducted by the Chief Referee Panel in accordance with the Rules of Universal Fight approved by the FIAU Congress.

Chief Referee: Yuriy Kalyapin (Ukraine), international-category referee.
Chief Secretary: Igor Zvyagintsev (Ukraine), international-category referee.

4. Participants

Age is determined on the day of competition.
Athletes who have not turned 14 years old by the day of weigh-in are NOT allowed to participate.

Weight Categories

Boys 14–15 years:

45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, +70 kg

Girls 14–15 years:

32, 37, 42, 47, 52, +52 kg

Boys 16–17 years:

55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, +80 kg

Girls 16–17 years:

37, 42, 47, 52, 57, 62, +62 kg

Junior Men 18–20 years:

55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, +95 kg

Junior Women 18–20 years:

45, 48, 52, 57, 62, 70, +70 kg

Men 18+

55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, +95 kg

Women 18+

48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78, +78 kg

Team Composition

1 head of delegation
1–2 coaches
1–2 referees
other officials as approved by the national federation

Sports Uniform Requirements

Athletes must wear:

red and blue kimono;
open-finger gloves;
helmet matching the color of the kimono;
wrestling shoes with soft soles;
shin and instep guards;
groin protector, mouthguard;
running shoes for the obstacle course;
women — additional chest protectors.

Referee uniform:

black trousers;
white short-sleeve polo shirt;
black sports shoes;
red and blue arm bands.

5. Competition Regulations

Dual Event Format:

The competition consists of two parts:

1. Obstacle Course

Includes:

knife throwing from 3 meters;
shooting at an inflatable target from 10–15 meters;

Rules:

A miss requires completing an additional obstacle;
If the opponent hits the target, he receives 1 point;
A winning time difference of more than 10 seconds grants 1 bonus point;
Every additional 5 seconds = +1 bonus point;
If the second finisher’s time exceeds 50% of the winner’s time, he is disqualified, and the opponent receives a clean victory.

Winning the obstacle course counts as one won round.

2. Fight on the Ring or Tatami

LIGHT Division

Boys (14–15, 16–17), Juniors (18–20), Men: 2 rounds × 2 minutes
Girls (14–15, 16–17), Junior Women: 2 rounds × 1.5 minutes
Women 18+: 2 rounds × 2 minutes

In LIGHT division:

no ground fighting;
after a throw, athletes are returned to standing position;
+10 points difference = early victory;
any clean throw on the back = clean victory.

CLASSIC Division

All preliminary bouts: 2×2 minutes
Semifinals and finals: 4×2 minutes

System of Competition

Olympic system with elimination after first loss;
If 3 athletes are in one weight class — round-robin system;
If two consecutive weight categories have only 1–2 athletes each, they may be merged.

6. Determining the Winners

Winner of the final — 1st place;
Final loser — 2nd place;
Semifinal losers — both receive 3rd place;
5th–8th places — quarterfinal losers.

Team Ranking Points

1st place — 8 points
2nd place — 5 points
3rd place — 3 points
5th–8th places — 1 point

7. Awards

Winners and medalists receive medals and diplomas.
Team-winners receive cups.
Each team must bring two national flags and a national anthem on digital media.

8. Accommodation

Athletes will be accommodated at the Urgench Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.

Cost: 25 USD per person per day (meals included).

Important:
Athletes and coaches must stay ONLY in this Center.
If living elsewhere — they will NOT be allowed to participate.

Parents and relatives may live anywhere.

9. Accreditation (Entry Fee)

LIGHT division — 100 USD
CLASSIC division — 100 USD
Both divisions — 150 USD

10. Applications

Participants must submit:

application form (2 copies)
identity document
insurance policy

Applications must be filled in Russian or English.

11. Protests

Must be submitted in writing;
Protest fee — 100 EUR;
If upheld — refunded;
If rejected — transferred to the referee panel fund.

WADA doping tests will be conducted.

12. Additional Requirements

Teams must bring:

two national flags;
national anthem on digital media.
